life isn't average. neither are we.
Toronto Bakes for Japan
Kristina Chau - Monday, April 04, 2011
Hey there party peeps!

I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying spring :)  I've been a busy party guru as usual but I wanted to share with you an awesome fundraiser that not your average party is excited to support.  Toronto Bakes for Japan is a simple concept - a bake sale to raise money for Japan with all proceeds being donated to the Japanese Red Cross Society.

Small acts, when multiplied by millions of people, can transform the world. - Howard Zinn

This fun and fab fundraiser will take place this weekend on April 9  & 10 at various locations within the city, which include:  Liberty Noodle, The Rivoli, Farmers' Market at Evergreen Brick Works, Cafe Diplomatico, Yoshi's Sweets and Amaranto Cafe.

I'll be leading an amazing team of volunteers over at Amaranto Cafe, which is located at 809 St. Clair Avenue, just east of Oakwood.  Come out, say hello, and of course buy some delicious baked goods to support this great cause.  I've been told that owner Elizabeth Rumebe's Tres Leches cake are a must have, but be sure to try any of her other southern Mexican delights!

If you can't make it out this weekend, please do your part by helping us spread the word.  Send out an email to your family and friends, invite your friends to the event on Facebook, tweet about it using the #bakeforjapan hash tag on Twitter, and blog about it! You will find all of the Toronto Bakes for Japan badges and images for download on the Tiffin Tales website.

Thanks in advance for your generous support :)

For the life of the party,
